Summer is well and truly in full swing in Manchester with a whole host of musical talent taking over the infamous northern city. The first weekend in June saw not only Coldplay headline the Etihad but musical legend Elton John performed at the Manchester Arena and Arctic Monkeys fans flocked to the Old Trafford cricket crowd to watch the band play some of their most iconic tracks.
This weekend, thousands more will head to the city for the return of the annual two-day festival of Parklife, taking place from the 10th to 11th of June. Back bigger and better than ever, expect a dance and electronic heavy line-up, with a nod to RnB and pop artists too.
Where is Parklife?
Since first launching on the scene back in 2010, Parklife has grown to be one of the biggest festivals in the UK, located in the sprawling Heaton park for another year. As the biggest park in Manchester it’s no surprise the festival is held here. Remember, last entry is 5pm so be sure to allow plenty of time to head over to the festival!
Who’s on the line-up?
Expect a whole host of musical talent taking to the main stage this year, born and bred Mancunian Aitch will be performing alongside an incredible line up of the 1975, Fred Again, Little Simz, Slow Thai and many more taking to the stage across the weekend. You can find the full Parklife 2023 lineup here.
What else do I need to know?
Like with any other UK Festival, be prepared for the crowds and queues, Parklife festival has a number of safety policies which must be adhered to and searches will be carried out upon entry to the festival, that means no bringing in your own food and drink so be sure to not bring these with you. Don't forget that Manchester is known for its occasional rain showers, so pack a waterproof jacket, just in case.
