With the rise of social media platforms and the use of social media apps also came the rise of fake profiles, trolling and bot accounts. Causing dis-trust and negativity across the social media channels that were intended for entertainment, connecting with friends and good use.
Fast forward to 2023 and we’re already seeing more social media channels promote authenticity and to coin the term ‘Be Real’, with more and more users turning off to traditional social media platforms due to their negative space and turning to new channels to discover and feel inspired.
So where does Chatloop come in? .
At Chatloop we are creating a community of real people and to ensure the app is a safe and inclusive space, free from bot or fake accounts, you will not be able to contribute to the community until you are verified. Chatloop ensures every user is a real user with facial recognition, capturing a 3-D scan of the user's face that is linked to the profile they create.
What does this mean?
This in essence means that no bot accounts can be created, without these being linked to a real person's face. If this account is then found to be causing harm or distrust within our application, they will be removed from the platform.
Can’t you just create another profile?
No, with Chatloop you will not be able to just delete a banned account and create another like you can on Twitter or Instagram. The benefit of facial recognition means that if you try to create another account once banned, your face will be recognised in the facial verification stage and trigger a warning to not allow you to create another account.
By doing this, Chatloop ensures the social media app is a safe place that people can trust. We are building an authentic community through authentication.
