Currently, there is no facility to able to report individual profiles on Chatloop. We see this as a means to endorse our policy that all are welcome to the platform. However, should any profiles be dropping Loops which are of an abusive or harmful nature in accordance with our User Guidelines these will be addressed on a case by case basis.
Within each Loop there is a “ellipsis (⋯)” icon which offers “More” options within the loop.
By selecting “Report Loop” from this menu you will be taken to the Chatloop reporting centre where you will be asked to complete the simple questions to allow us to address the issue as quickly as possible.
○ In order to avoid online scams, we encourage users to proceed with caution where any profile that represents a person, professional or business may make you suspicious.
Where you are unsure – Challenge everything.
○ Be suspicious of all ‘too good to be true’ offers and deals. There are no guaranteed get-rich-quick schemes.
○ Don’t agree to offers or deals immediately. Insist on time to get independent or legal advice before making a decision.
○ Don’t hand over money or sign anything until you’ve checked someone’s credentials and their company’s.
○ Never send money to anyone you don’t know or trust, whether in the UK or abroad, or use methods of payment you’re not comfortable with.
○ Never give banking or personal details to anyone you don’t know or trust. This information is valuable so make sure you protect it.
○ Always log in to a website directly rather than clicking on links in an email.
○ Don’t just rely on glowing testimonials. Find solid, independent evidence of a company’s success. Always get independent or legal advice if an offer involves money, time or commitment.
○ If you spot a scam or have been scammed, report it and get help.
○ Don’t be embarrassed about reporting a scam. Because the scammers are cunning and clever there’s no shame in being deceived. By reporting it, you'll make it more difficult for them to deceive others.
Where unwanted messages have been received on the platform, we encourage users to “Block” those accounts and report the loops directly via the “Report Loop” button found in the ellipsis (⋯) “More” menu within each loop.
The search feature of Chatloop can be found in the bottom navigation tool bar behind the icon. From here you will be able to search for friends, followers, new accounts by name or username.
This is also our “inspiration page” where you will be able to find all of the latest public loops that are going on around specific topics and interests.
Currently, users are able to sort their feeds by “Popular Loops” or chronologically from the accounts they follow.
More filter options are in the pipeline.
At this time, feeds can only be customised by the priority in which loops appear in your feed. What we can promise is that everything that you see in your feed will be curated by you, the user from accounts that you follow and the activity they engage in.
Within each Loop there are two methods for sharing
○ 1st is to “@” someone directly into the loop you are creating
○ 2nd there is a share sheet functionality that can be found
